Climbs on Wall St rally

SHARES ended 0.12 per cent higher yesterday after a second straight rally on Wall Street as dealers cheered data showing the United States economy grew faster than first thought.

The benchmark Hang Seng Index added 26.59 points to 21,731.37 on turnover of HK$ 50.48 billion

Bank of China fell 0.6 per cent to HK$ 3.26 while China Merchants Bank slipped 0.9 per cent to HK$ 13.44 meanwhile, Tianjin Port appreciated by 2.6 per cent to HK$ 1.17 and Dalian Port gained four per cent to HK$ 1.06. AFP
